I joined the University of Bristol in 2017, and took up my role as Executive Director of Global Engagement in February 2023. Our Division looks to build a global community in Bristol and a Bristol community around the world.

Our work falls into three broad areas:
International: We lead on all aspects of the University's international strategy. Our Division leads on International Recruitment as well as Global Partnerships which support our strong relationships with institutions across the world. We also work closely with sponsors to create transformative opportunities for students, and lead the University's award winning Think Big Scholarship programme. We are also home to the Centre for Study Abroad which creates opportunities for Bristol students to study internationally as well as international students to join us in Bristol for a period of study.

We lead the University's efforts with regard to Philanthropy, securing support annually from over 4,000 donors to fund transformative projects at Bristol. We work with alumni, friends, trusts and foundations, companies and philanthropists to work together to transform lives.

We are responsible for the University's relationships with our 200,000+ alumni community living in over 190 countries around the world. Fostering lifelong relationships which both support our alumni and give opportunities for them to remain a vibrant and active part of our community.

Our Civic Engagement Team is closely aligned to the University's Global Civic ambitions and works across a range of initiatives that build strong links with our city and region, as well as like-minded collaborations around the world.

We also deliver the University's public events programme, creating opportunities both in Bristol and around the world for a wide selection of people to actively engage with Bristol.
