Development Review

Your annual Development Review is an opportunity to reflect on your achievements and to discuss your goals and aspirations with a supportive line manager or supervisor.

All University staff, whether academic or professional services, are expected to take part in an annual Development Review conversation as an important part of individual growth and professional development, and as part of our University's commitment to staff wellbeing. 

Development Reviews are important because they offer a chance to:

  • Reflect on your work and how it supports the overall success of the University
  • Reflect on where you are in your career, and where you might want to go
  • Receive guidance and support with your career development
  • Feel motivated and valued

The meeting should take place between January and December, and the key discussion points and agreed actions must be recorded in Develop, our staff learning platform.
