Welcome to The PARIP/IFTR E-Forum An online discussion forum for delegates at the PARIP (UK) and IFTR (USA) conferences The summer of 2005 sees two very important and almost simultaneous conference events in the field of performance and theatre research: 26 June - 01 July 2005 | University of Maryland (Washington D.C.), USA 29 June - 03 July 2005 | Bretton Hall Campus, West Yorkshire, UK The PARIP (Practice as Research in Performance) and IFTR (the International Federation for Theatre Research) research communities have both interests and individuals in common. Indeed, we imagine that some delegates at each conference might well have attended the other had they not be running simultaneously. In recognition of this, PARIP and IFTR have collaborated to set up an online forum, intended to allow delegates at both conferences to share ideas, report on conference sessions, debate key questions and to engage in discussion about the pertinent issues arising as each event unfolds. The forum is very simple to use – you do not need to register to read the latest posts by other PARIP and IFTR delegates. If you would like to post a new message or reply to an existing message, just enter a username (not necessarily your real name, should you prefer to remain anonymous) and an email address to add your contribution. You are welcome to add a new thread to the discussion or to respond to threads that have already been posted by others. Click on the link below for a basic user’s guide to the forum.
