Mental Health Hub

Nationally, and indeed globally, there is increasing concern about mental health challenges. Mental health is just as important as physical health; they form two sides of the same coin. And things don't have to be at a crisis point for you to seek help. Problems can arise in many forms and from many situations: for example stress at work, bereavement, family or relationship problems, illness, legal or financial troubles, or an underlying mental health condition. The effects can include insomnia, anxiety, depression, lack of energy or persistently feeling unwell.

Approximately one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year, and around 75% of adults with mental illness first experience symptoms before the age of 25. As a research-intensive University, Bristol is well placed to develop evidence-based strategies to change how we view and treat mental health issues through a network of academics from different backgrounds.

Further information on the Mental Health Hub will be available in due course.
