online

Black In Neuro is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with an international reach, that aims to diversify the neurosciences by building a community that celebrates and empowers Black scholars and professionals in neuroscience related fields. Since our inception in 2020 we have hosted over 110 free events, reached over 22,000 registrants and participants and in our last iteration of Black In Neuro Week, connected members from over 40 different countries.

Our annual Black In Neuro Week remains a FREE, virtual conference occurring at the end of July each year. This year's events include two keynote speakers, Dr. Flavia Santos and Dr. Ishmail Abdus-Saboor, a #Neuroracism journal club on neuroimaging, a town hall discussing the Black In Neuro Diaspora, and panels on salary negotiation and demystifying the academic job market.

Our events are open to the public and we encourage all undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, faculty, and community members interested in neuroscience to register (even if they don't identify as Black). It's a great way to support research being conducted by Black scientists, learn about issues faced by Black and other marginalized communities, and grow your own network. Follow @ BlackInNeuro on social media for more details.
