Documenting trial methods - the HEAP
Joanna Thorn (University of Bristol)
online
Hosted by the MRC Trials Methodology Research Partnership at the University of Nottingham
Health Economics Analysis Plans, fondly known as HEAPs, are important tools for guiding the analysis phase of an economic evaluation. Sitting alongside the better known Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP), a HEAP sets out in detail the steps that will be taken to conduct cost-effectiveness studies for interventions assessed in randomised controlled trials. This webinar will describe a Delphi study carried out to establish the appropriate content for a HEAP, and will discuss the benefits of producing a HEAP.
