Biography
I come from a social psychology background, and since 2006 I have been carrying out research in inter-professional collaboration and multi-agency working. This work originated in my PhD on cooperative decision making (University of Leicester). My work on inter-professional collaboration has been well-received by inter-professional teams and by local authorities, who have used my findings at workshops and seminars to help them reflect on and develop their own collaborative working. Prior to 2006, I carried out research in school and teacher effectiveness, and teacher professional development.
I joined the Graduate School of Education at Bristol as a research associate on the CReSt project funded by the QCDA, looking at the impact of recent reforms in 14-19 education upon schools and colleges.
Current research
I am currently working on the CReSt project, my specific interest in this project is partnership working.
