Reaxys training session

15 December 2022, 1.00 PM - 15 December 2022, 1.50 PM

Online

Join us for a training session delivered by Dr. Giulia Moncels from the Reaxys team.

This refresher training shows the key features and ways of searching for chemistry information in Reaxys: Quick Search, Structure Editor, Query Builder, Retrosynthesis, History and Alerts.

Reaxys is a powerful chemistry data-searching tool designed to retrieve chemical reactions, substances and their properties, patent data and other relevant information. Reaxys contains more than 118 million organic, inorganic and organometallic substances, over 49 million reactions and more than 500 million published experimental facts. It can be searched in many ways, including by chemical structure, formula, and physical property parameters. Designed by chemists, Reaxys is more than a chemistry database, it is a cheminformatics solution that delivers chemistry facts the way chemists need them.

Using Reaxys, participants will learn how to:

  • Query and filter for chemical substances, compound properties and reactions
  • Design, launch and identify optimal synthetic routes for target molecules
  • Carefully plan the budget needed for research projects
  • Draw structures, set searches and analyze results all in one view

The session will last around 50 minutes and there will be opportunities to ask questions.

Access to Reaxys is provided by the Library.

The workshop will take place on Zoom. A calendar invite and Zoom link will be sent out near to the event date.
