2007:

OPCAT Project research team submitted their observations to the UN's CAT draft General Comment No. 2 on Article 2 of the Convention Against Torture. The CAT had requested feedback from all interested parties on the draft General Comment before adopting it. Draft General Comment No. 2 deals with a number of important and interrelated obligations arising out of Article 2 of the Convention Against Torture, namely the obligation to take action to prohibit torture, and the obligation to prevent it.
