The OPCAT Research Team submitted its observations (PDF, 91kB) to the civil society in Georgia on the latest draft amendments in the legislation of Georgia related to the National Preventive Mechanism, attempting to bring it in line with the provisions of OPCAT.

March 2008

The Public Defender of Georgia (Ombudsman) and Penal Reform International requested the OPCAT Research Team to submit comments (PDF, 1,269kB) on  proposed amendments to the Ombudsman law, which are aimed to make the law of the Public Defender compliant with the OPCAT requirements.
