Law School Online book launch: Serena Natile's new book

27 November 2020, 1.00 PM - 27 November 2020, 3.00 PM

Online Book Launch

Co-Organised by the Centre for Global Law and Innovation (CGLI) of the University of Bristol and the Centre for Law, Regulation & Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE) of the School of Law of the University of Warwick, we are delighted to be hosting a book launch for Serena Natile's The Exclusionary Politics of Digital Financial Inclusion. Mobile Money, Gendered Walls (Routledge 2020).

This is an excellent piece of decolonial feminist scholarship that critically assesses digital financial inclusion in Kenya, in the context of the development and widespread adoption of the mobile money project M-Pesa. The event will include a presentation of the most salient findings of the book by the author, a discussion by two reputed academics and a question and answer session with attendees. This event will be of interest to all those concerned about the socio-legal implications of the adoption of digital technologies, not only in the area of Fintech, but also more generally.
