Dr Judy Laing is currently involved in a project looking at the impact of Brexit on social divisions, organised by Dr Jon Fox and other colleagues in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.

The team has organised a workshop, "Brexit and the left behind: Empowering local communities," that invited representatives from local communities in Bristol to discuss the challenges they have faced, or are facing, since the EU referendum. Moving forward the team is hoping to co-produce research that identifies areas where Bristol researchers can help groups find some solutions to these problems. Judy is involved through her links with local disability groups.
