The Verdon-Smith International Seminar Room is managed by the Global Engagement Division as a resource for International visitors. The room is located in Royal Fort House, an eighteeth-century Grade 1 listed building in Royal Fort Gardens. The Verdon-Smith International Seminar Room boasts modern AV facilities including a smartboard, and can host up to 20 delegates.
It is recognised that a range of colleagues across the University may be interested in using this room for hybrid, international activities. Therefore booking requests may be accommodated by following the guidance and process outlined below.

Only booking requests received and approved via this process will be confirmed. A member of the team will provide confirmation via email, and will add an appointment to the lead organiser’s calendar - this will contain important information regarding the conditions of use so you must read this carefully. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive this. Do not attempt to book the Verdon Smith via Outlook calendar, as these booking requests are not valid.
Please note, if we receive a priority request for an internationally focused activity at least four weeks before your booking, we may ask you to move your booking.
