Epidemiology Congress of the Americas Miami - Pre conference workshop 21 - 24 June 2016

Epigenetic Epidemiology, a pre conference workshop chaired by Matthew Suderman, Riccardo Marioni and Andrew Simpkin on behalf of the Interstela Project. An interactive workshop covering relevance of epigenetics to human health; design, execution and interpretation of population-based epigenetic studies, measurement technologies and statistical analyses. Interpretation covered techniques for uncovering the biological relevance of findings, including utilization of other molecular profiles such as gene expression. 

Mediation Analysis Workshop 11 March 2016

Mediation Analysis: Challenges and novel approaches, a workshop sponsored by the Society for Social Medicine in conjunction with the Interstela Project held in Bristol. This workshop outlined the challenges of traditional methods for mediation analysis and some of the novel approaches based on counterfactual theory or instrumental variable methods including Mendelian Randomization.
