What to do if your account has been compromised

You think that you have given away your password, or you think that somebody has access to your account who shouldn’t - what do you do?

  1. Change your password immediately.
  2. Log out of your current sessions on all your devices. 
  3. Contact the IT Service Desk to inform us of the incident and receive further instructions.
  4. Change passwords anywhere else you used the same password (note that you should not, under any circumstances, use your University password for another service or account)

Reminder: you should not give your University password to anybody else, including IT Services.
