Futures Cafe 24 June 2013: Research Sans Frontières

24 June 2013: Research Sans Frontières

Bergerac Room, First Floor, 8-10 Berkeley Square

Collaboration and outreach are key trends in research. How can we enhance key strategic partnerships with other HEIs at home and overseas, with industry and with communities large and small?

This second Futures Café in the 2013 programme will address related questions such as: what do researchers need to foster and maintain such partnerships? What are the potential tensions between openness, collaboration, security and competition? What barriers and opportunities does technology present, now and for the future? What impact does the permeability of research boundaries have on the design and delivery of IT services for research?
