Roots - Internships that matter

Attendance: In-person and online
Work period: 1 to 26 weeks
Location: South Africa, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana
Description: Internships with nonprofit organizations in Africa, the causes you can join as an intern are very diverse (anything from human rights and gender equality to reforestation and marine conservation), the roles you can take within these organizations are also wide-ranging. The focus areas of our internships include – but aren’t limited to – field research, digital marketing, communications and content writing, business development, monitoring and evaluation, and NGO management.

America

Work period: 9 weeks
Location: Various locations across America
Description: Work abroad in an American summer camp, choose from different camps all across the USA. You can choose a campower role working to help keep the camp running, or a counsellor role working with the children and leading them in activities.

Asia

Work period: 4 to 12 weeks
Location: South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam
Description: Internships across a range of 18 different career fields including Business, Finance, Engineering, creative design, health, law and more.

Europe

University of the Balearic Islands - Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems

Attendance: In-person
Work period: 150 hours, equivalent to 4 weeks working full time
Location: Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Description: The summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships allow you to conduct academic research under the supervision of an IFISC researcher. These fellowships are aimed at world-wide undergraduate students of physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology and engineering.

Location: Jerusalem, Israel

Work period: 4 to 24 weeks, choose between 10, 20, 30 or 40 hours of remote internship per week.

Think pacific - Remote internship

Attendance: online
Volunteering period: 4 to 12 weeks
Location: Fiji Islands
Description: This virtual internship will enable you to engage with communities in Fiji and gain experience in the international development sector, without travelling overseas. 

Virtual Internships

Attendance: Online
Work period: A minimum of 120 hours total. 1 to 4 months with 10, 20, or 30 hours per week
Location: 80 different country options
