There are many external organisations offering a wide variety of opportunities. On this page you will find some work abroad summer opportunities. You will need to apply directly to the programme provider. Check the provider's website for details on dates, deadlines and costs.

There are plenty more out there so do your research.

As these organisations are external to the University, the University of Bristol cannot be held liable for any activity undertaken with them.

Bristol Volunteers for Development Abroad

Bristol Volunteers for Development Abroad (BVDA) encourages students to make a difference in developing countries through overseas volunteering, whilst working hard to raise awareness of international development within the UK.

For Summer 2024, in partnership with PSD Nepal, a group of volunteers will travel to Nepal for a construction/educational based project. Their applications close on Sunday 21st January, so if you are interested make sure to get in touch with them by then.

Students who take part in a project through BVDA would be eligible to apply for Turing Funding to help cover travel and living costs.
