What you can study 

In the School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience, we investigate how cells and organisms function and how we might modulate their function to improve health. We are at the forefront in the use of interactive media, with the development of eBioLabs and the AIMS Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, to ensure the highest quality teaching and student experience. We also host the Bristol Neuroscience Research Network.

You will find units on:

  • medicine and drugs
  • health and disease
  • pain, behaviour and disorders

Pre-requisites

  • Year 1 units are suitable for students with secondary school Chemistry and preferably another Science (e.g. Biology).
  • Year 2 units require some university study in the discipline.
  • Year 3 units require a strong background in the discipline.
