What you can study

At Bristol, you'll study concepts at the forefront of knowledge about the mechanisms of human disease. Our teaching reflects our research, which aims to translate laboratory discoveries into clinical applications. Our aim is to inspire you to turn science into medicine.

You will find units on:

  • infection and immunology
  • cells and molecular microbiology
  • cancer and infectious diseases

Pre-requisites

  • Year 1 units are suitable for students with secondary school Chemistry and preferably another Science (e.g. Biology).
  • Year 2 units require some university study in the discipline.
  • Year 3 units require a strong background in the discipline.
