Biochemistry study guide 2024/25
What you can study
Our programme immerses you in ground-breaking research on the biomolecular processes that underpin human health and disease.
You will find units on:
- molecular genetics, immunology, and enzymology,
- synthetic biology, recombinant engineering, and drug discovery
- cellular homeostasis and cancer cell biology
- developmental biology and neurobiochemistry
Pre-requisites
- Year 1 units are suitable for students with secondary school Chemistry and preferably another Science (e.g. Biology).
- Year 2 units require some university study in the discipline.
- Year 3 units require a strong background in the discipline.
