The Collective Dynamics research group study the question of how system-level function and phenomena arise from the interplay of parts in a wide variety of systems including:

• Biology
• Engineering
• Social sciences

The whole pipeline of insight-creation:

• starting with data-analysis
• agent-based modelling
• mathematical modelling; and
• model analysis using methods from:
  • dynamical systems theory
  • statistical physics; and
  • network science.
