1. Impact in school

• SATS and how will testing reflect use of mobiles
• Tension between formal assessment & mobile learning, leading to different learning strategies.

2. How is the time of the teacher better spent if the devices are used?

• “Busy time” vs. classroom as a place to process content
• Teacher becomes the ‘Guide on the Side’ rather than the ‘Sage on the Stage’.
• Peer – Peer Learning
• Teacher – Fear of losing control of class through “subversive” device. 
• Need Paradigm Shift for teachers to ‘enable’ independent learners.

• Safety: MP3 / mobile theft
• Work with police to create posters etc
