- Not just a device - syncs with other ICT
Self-Initiated learning is:
- Post 16 year olds / Self de-schooled
- Non-vocational
- At sites of interest
Research Questions:
- What motivates people to do self-initiated learning?
- What stops people from this learning?
- How does mobile technology facilitate and change the self-initiated learning experience?
- What are the attributes of the mobile learner?
Potential Funders:
- Heritage Lottery Fund (niche market): Does the place make a difference? (but with ties)
- Community Education Centres – “In-kind support”. Widening participation agenda -content (not receiving but doing) – Which stuff? When?
