This page provides information regarding the teaching timetable for administrative staff in schools.
You are strongly encouraged to read the detailed process documents to help understand the role of the school administrators in the production of the teaching timetable.
In order to build the timetable, the Timetabling and Education Officer needs information about the teaching delivery plans and constraints on staff availability to teach. You are responsible for collecting this information and passing it on to the TEO. This year teaching delivery plans should be submitted using the Web Data Collection tool. Constraints on staff availability will be collected using the online form sent to you by your Head of School. Please see Guidance Regarding Teaching Constraints (PDF, 201kB).
When the draft timetable is published, you and academic staff with responsibility for organising teaching should check the timetable and report any errors, omissions and changes to the TEO by the deadline. The final draft timetable is then published for wider checking by all academic teaching staff - administrators will be responsible for notifying academics that they should check.
Web Data Collection is a web based tool for submitting teaching delivery plans to the Timetabling and Education Officers. You should collect the teaching plans for each unit in your school and enter the information into WDC.
Some timetable information is rolled forward from year to year, however you should not assume that your teaching has been rolled forward - you must check and confirm it using Web Data Collection.
Confirming teaching
Dates for Web Data Collection can be found on the Education Cycle.
The draft and provisional timetables will be published online for checking by administrative and academic staff.

It is possible for school staff to be given access to the Syllabus+ plus system to allow them to swap students between different tutorial or seminar groups. If you would like this access, please discuss this with your TEO, who will be able to arrange this for you if appropriate. Training needs should also be discussed with the TEO.
Once you have access, you can login to Syllabus+.
Please report any technical problems with Syllabus+ to the Timetabling Team's System Support Officer at etg-support@bristol.ac.uk
Queries and concerns regarding the information in Syllabus+ should be raised with your TEO.
If you have access to Syllabus+, you will be able to run a small program that will produce class lists and registers for your small group teaching. Contact your TEO to request access to the application.
