Economics is an exciting subject that enables young people to question and explore the world they are living in. Yet, many don’t study economics at school and may be unsure what it’s really about. Our half-day event provides an insight into the subject of economics, information on degrees, apprenticeships and careers.

On Thursday 17th November, academics from the University of Bristol, School of Economics are organising a half-day schools event, from 1.30 – 4pm at Bristol Cathedral School. Students will hear from Bank of England economists, Rupa Patel and Jack Meaning (authors of Why Can’t We Just Print More Money) and take part in an economics challenge. They will also have a chance to find out more about economics degrees.

This event is suitable for any year 11/12 student, whether they are studying economics or not, and is part of the regular Bristol Festival of Economics.
