Professor Carol Joinson holds a BSc Hons and PhD in psychology from the University of Glasgow. She is currently a Professor of Developmental Psychology in the Centre for Academic Child Health in Bristol Medical School (Population Health Sciences). Her research integrates developmental psychology and epidemiological methods to advance understanding of the causes and consequences of child and adolescent health problems.  She has a particular interest in mental health.
