Speaker biographies

Andrew Dawood

Andrew qualified from The Royal London Hospital. He is a specialist in oral surgery. He devotes his time to dental implant surgery, research and development in the implant world and in 3D imaging and manufacturing. He has honorary attachments to University College Hospital London and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, working in the implant rehabilitation of patients who have undergone extensive resection or trauma.  

John Wibberley

John obtained his Certificate in Dental Technology in 1978. He has worked in the Department of Prosthodontics at Manchester Dental Hospital and Manchester General Hospital gaining experience in the maxillofacial unit. After gaining his advanced City and Guilds in crown and bridgework, John joined the RAF dental branch for two years. He ran his own commercial laboratory for sixteen years. In 2010, he obtained a Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology from the University of Central Lancashire

Susan Tanner

 ‌ Within her specialist prosthodontic practice, Susan is particularly interested in the implant rehabilitation of patients who have atrophic jaws, with the goal of providing immediate fixed reconstructions, even where there is extensive resorption. She is also a founder of the BWSID which empowers women clinicians to become involved in implant dentistry, mentoring and developing skills, with groups now being set up around the UK.
