Karen Ho

Karen Ho is the Research Associate in the laboratory for the Cleft Collective study based at the University of Bristol.

She is responsible for the processing and safe storage of all biological samples provided by participants of the study.

Karen has a BSc Hons in Biochemisty & Physiology from the University of Reading and is currently studying part-time towards an MSc in Stem Cell research.

Karen also works for the ALSPAC (Avon Longitudinal Study for Parents and Children) Cohort Study and the ICEP (Integratrative Cancer Epidemiology program).

This work involves being responsible for establishing and maintaining a cell line bank of participants and generation of data from samples on gene sequence and DNA methylation.

Previous roles have involved working on a variety of research projects in labs at the University of Reading, Southampton General Hospital & Queen Mary & Westfield College.
