Robert Fowler Awarded British Academy Medal
30 September 2015
Professor Robert Fowler is one of this year's recipients of the British Academy Medal. The British Academy Medals are awarded annually and recognise outstanding achievement in any branch of the humanities and social sciences, as demonstrated in a landmark academic achievement in any of the disciplines supported by the Academy. The achievement for which candidates are nominated is usually a publication of particularly outstanding significance for its discipline, which has transformed understanding of a particular subject or field of study; in Professor Fowler's case, Early Greek Mythography Volume 2: Commentary (OUP, 2013). The medal was awarded at a ceremony in London on Tuesday September 29th.
