Classics professor honoured with new book

Professor Emerita Gillian Clark has been honoured with a book on Christian identity in Late Antiquity, published by Oxford University Press.

A new book, Being Christian in Late Antiquity has been written and published in honour of Gillian Clark.  The publication, edited by Carol Harrison, Caroline Humfress and Isabella Sandwell, contains 16 chapters from leading scholars on what it means to be Christian in Late Antiquity. 

Gillian Clark, who recently ascended to the title of Professor Emerita, is one of the world's most important scholars on Late Antique Society and religiosity and has expressed her delight at this honour.
