There will be a Latin immersion dinner Tuesday 19 November. This is for anyone curious about speaking Latin; no prior experience or ability is required. No one will be judging you for mistakes of vocabulary or syntax! We will meet at 5 pm in my office (1.2 36 Tyndall Park Rd) for drinks, then proceed at 6 pm to the great hall at Bristol Grammar School for a variety of dishes taken from the recipe book attributed to the legendary Roman cook Apicius. The cost for everything will be £10. Please let me (Kurt Lampe) know if you'd like to attend, as we need to know numbers a few days in advance. Please also let me know if you require vegetarian options. (I can say already that there will be non-pork options, as I do not eat pork.)
Now a little Latin: Cena latina die Martis 19 Novembris celebrabitur. Veni igitur, lector benevole: laetaberis.
