City centre

Shop till you drop at Cabot Circus, uncover one-of-a-kind bargains and delicious food at the bustling St Nicholas market, or enjoy the views from famously steep Park Street.

You can catch a show at the Wardrobe Theatre in historic Old Market, or explore culture, community and non-conformity in Stokes Croft, Bristol’s local hub of social enterprise.

Swap stories of pirates and smugglers before searching for hidden treasure through the Redcliffe Caves, relax by the harbourside, or climb the Christmas Steps for music and crafts in the vibrant arts quarter.

Renting in Bristol

Students and staff can find out about renting privately in Bristol from the Accommodation Office.

I live really close to Cabot Circus, and about a 15-minute walk to University. I really like being so central and it’s great for when I visit home as I am so near all the main transport links for travelling out of the city – the train and coach station. In the city centre there are so many other students around, there’s a real community feel. My building has a lot of international students and everyone socialises within our building so you get to meet a really wide variety of people.
