Project Title: Vision-based Turning Movement Quantification for Parkinson’s Disease
General Profile
Qiushuo’s research bridges computer vision and biomechanical movement analysis, exploring human motion understanding from monocular videos to enable objective and passive assessment of movement impairments in Parkinson’s disease. By developing vision-based methods to quantify turning movements, capture subtle Parkinsonian stepping patterns, and localise movement events in free-living environments, his work aims to provide clinically meaningful measures beyond subjective observation and obtrusive wearable sensors.
