Supervisors:

Anne Roudaut, Department of Computer Science; Dr Angela Attwood, School of Psychological Science

General profile:

I completed my undergraduate degree in Interactive Media and Business (IMB) and Global Public Health Studies at New York University Shanghai. The Interactive Media side of my degree was concentrated in inclusive/accessible front-end web development and app building while the Business side was focused on management and economics.

During my opportunity to study in Accra and New York City, I completed my minor in Global Public Health Studies. I was inspired to explore the intersection of health and digital technologies in my first internship working in the radiology department at the Medical Center of the Rockies. That interest was reinforced with an internship working in the dietician's ward at Princess Marie Louise Children's Hospital.

I spent my youth being hyperaware of rural healthcare clinicians and medical technology shortages in North-Eastern Hungary and Eastern Colorado, specifically as it related to the support and treatment of the population with chronic conditions. With regards to my future research, my current interest lies in the use of wearables to manage chronic conditions where there is limited stable access to the internet and limited opportunities for healthcare contact.
