Solve the city launch event: Bristol in 50 years

6 February 2018, 6.00 PM - 6 February 2018, 8.00 PM

1.7, Queens Building, University of Bristol

**Please note this Engineers Without Borders event is for students only**

Solve the City is back (with a vengeance)! Solve the City is a 6 week team challenge covering a range of issue with a £150 prize! How could you possibly pass up an opportunity like this?

This year Solve the City tackles a challenge close to all of our hearts - Bristol! We'll be taking a look at how Bristol might evolve in the next 50 years and trying to solve some of the hurdles that stand in the way.

Each week will cover a different theme:

  • Transportation - Will driving a car become as obsolete as a horse and cart?
  • Food Security -  Will growing populations leave us hungry for change?
  • Mental Health and Communal living - Is happy, healthy, communal living a pipedream?
  • Material consumption and waste - The World is Not Enough - Learning to live on less when we all want more

No experience is needed! All you need to take part is some enthusiasm!

So come along to our launch event on the 6th February to find out more, meet new people, learn a new way of thinking about problems and get some free food!
