Perspective from the Sea: On the shores of the mar chileno: Ocean, Nationhood, and Indigeneity in Chilean Visual Culture

1 March 2018, 4.00 PM - 1 March 2018, 5.00 PM

First Floor Seminar Room, 7 Woodland Road

The first Perspective from the Sea seminar of 2018 will see Paul Merchant, a new colleague from the Department of Hispanic, Portuguese and Latin American Studies, who will be giving a short talk (20 minutes or so) on his forthcoming project entitled 'On the shores of the mar chileno: Ocean, Nationhood, and Indigeneity in Chilean Visual Culture'. After this talk and some Q&A, we will have a broader discussion on maritime studies in and around Bristol, and there will also be an opportunity for those attending to learn about one another's work and interests. Wine and nibbles (okay, crisps) included.

This event is open to all University of Bristol staff and students.
