EarthArt#4 - What does climate change look like?

25 July 2018, 6.00 PM - 25 July 2018, 8.00 PM

Wills Memorial Building, University of Bristol BS8 1RJ

Professor Jon Blundy FRS, University of Bristol Cabot Institute for the Environment, invites you to the fourth of a series of biannual events to celebrate collaborations between artists and earth scientists. Please join us for presentations on the theme of The shape of shifting climate by Dr. Heather Buss (Cabot Institute) and artist Alice Cunningham, followed by an opening reception for the new exhibition by Cunningham in the EarthArt Gallery, School of Earth Sciences, Bristol.

Alice Cunningham has been an Earth Sciences artist in residence over the last six months, working under the self elected title 'What does climate change look like?' Alice has met with scientists from a wide range of departments, all looking into the effects of climate change. Using rocks from the Earth Sciences archive she has created a new series of sculptural works in response to these conversations and the emergent common themes.

Register your attendance here by Monday 9th July.
