Powell Lecture Theatre, Physics Building

*A collaboration between Friends of the Earth, Engineers Without Borders, Geologists for Global Development and Bristol Hub*

What if confronting the climate crisis is the best chance we'll ever get to build a better world? Filmed over 211 shoot days in nine countries and five continents over four years, THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING (2015) is an epic attempt to re-imagine the vast challenge of climate change. The film presents seven portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana's Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond. Interwoven with these stories of struggle is Naomi Klein's narration, connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there.

Following the screening, there will be a PANEL DISCUSSION on climate change, climate activism and the future of our environment - so bring questions! (PANEL MEMBERS TBA)

This is also a warm-up event for the BRISTOL MARCH FOR CLIMATE, JUSTICE & JOBS - happening just two days after (Sunday 29th) - check it out here! - https://www.facebook.com/events/1720715738152151/

THIS EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND: NO BOOKING NEEDED.
(Film roughly 1hr 30 mins, and panel maximum 30 mins - starting at 5 and will be finished before 7)

This event is being supported by the Cabot Institute.
