How well do we treat our animals?

Mahatma Gandhi was reported to say that ‘You can judge the morality of a nation by the way the society treats its animals’. How are we doing in the 21st century? In this debate, academics and campaigners will consider whether the livestock industry, retailers and government are delivering the animal welfare standards that consumers want or expect.

This event is part of the Bristol Food Connections Festival 2014 and in partnership with the Festival of Ideas.
