Thorsten Wagener - Inaugural lecture

Professor of Water and Environmental Engineering

Human activity has become a global force that shapes our water environment through land use and climate change, and ever increasing demand for freshwater. This lecture will discuss the challenges and opportunities to supply the knowledge, tools and people to enable our society both to grow and also sustain water services, such as water supply, and at the same time reduce the risks from hazards such as floods and droughts.
