Speaker: IAS Benjamin Meaker Visiting Professor - Professor Herbert Huppert FRS, University of Cambridge

This lecture series (10 lectures in total) will be given by Professor Herbert Huppert FRS from the University of Cambridge who is visiting Bristol as an IAS Benjamin Meaker Visiting Professor during October to December 2012.

The format for each event apart from the first (on Wed 10 Oct) will commence with a lecture from Professor Huppert from 15:30 until 16:15.  There will then be a 5-minute break followed by a seminar given by a Bristol academic on a generally related topic from 16:20 until 16:50.  This will be leave 10 minutes  for questions.  The first event will be a lecture only. 

The series will be made available to the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) as a virtual seminar series.
