Geo-engineering: Impacts on Vegetation Discussion Group
Everyone is welcome to come and discuss papers on the potential impacts of geo-engineering on vegetation.
We meet the first Monday of every month from 1 - 2 pm in G7 of the Wills Memorial Building.
As the first Monday in May is a bank holiday, our next meeting will be May 14.
Snacks are provided and you're welcome to bring your lunch along.
The topic this month will be the impact of shifts in the spectral distribution of light from stratospheric aerosols on plants. So read the following paper or find something else in the literature to share with us: Gilbert et al, 2001, "Proximity signal and shade avoidance differences between early and late successional trees", Nature 411,792.
