Speaker: Dr William Nuttall, University of Cambridge

 

William Nuttall's research centres upon issues concerning energy technologies and public policy, with specific focus on nuclear energy, the nuclear fuel cycle and possibilities for advanced nuclear energy technologies. Further details on his research and publications in these areas.

In this seminar, from his personal position as an engaged academic outsider to the policy process, Dr Nuttall will offer remarks and reflections on technology and policy issues shaping and driving the UK nuclear renaissance in the context of current UK Energy Policy and evolving Research/Technology Policy. Questions and observations from the audience concerning the future of civil nuclear power in the UK will be welcome following the seminar.

Directions

The Wills Memorial Building is located at the junction of Park Street and Queen’s Road, point 26 on the precinct map.

To the Old Council Chamber: On entering the Wills Memorial Building, take the lift or stairs on the righthand side to the 1st floor. Turn right at the top of the stairs, go through the double doors and proceed along the corridor. The Old Council Chamber may be accessed from the 2nd door on the left.
