Cabot Institute Seminar Series: Nuclear Futures
Supported by the Cabot Institute, this interdisciplinary seminar series on the subject of ‘Nuclear Futures’, is run by Dr Columba Peoples on behalf of the Bristol-Oxford Nuclear Research Centre (NRC). The NRC is an explicitly interdisciplinary joint venture between the University of Bristol and the University of Oxford to create a centre of national and international importance in nuclear research.
What is the future for nuclear power? Debates about nuclear renewal and extension have been high on the political agenda in the UK (and beyond) for some time, and recent events have introduced a new level of priority to discussions on the future of nuclear power – at local, national and global levels. This series draws together a variety of speakers from across the natural and social sciences to address, discuss and debate this question in different ways.
