We characterise or investigate the materials used or produced in micro or nano-scale structures, thin foil preparation or imaging, such as nuclear waste materials, steel or other alloys as they corrode or fracture and nanostructures used in the water treatment industry.
Working with the Chemistry Imaging Facility (CIF) on this project has allowed us to gain creditable external assurances of the outcomes of our project, which has mean that we have progressed much faster and with a much greater confidence than we could have done without their consultation. This has also provided the stimulus for securing EPSRC Impact Acceleration funding with Bristol to develop a longer term collaborative partnership.
