Brigstow Toolkits

At Brigstow Institute we have been developing a series of toolkits to help support researchers in navigating coproduced or interdisciplinary research journey. We are looking to develop these toolkits further. If you have any feedback we would love to hear about your experiences using the toolkits.

Research Lexicon
You can use this toolkit to explore and communicate different definitions and etymologies of words that you might each bring to the project as well as assumptions about their meanings across disciplines.
Exploring Interests, Developing Questions Toolkit
It takes time to find shared interests and refine research questions, so the Exploring Interests, Developing Questions Toolkit has been designed to facilitate an iterative process of designing and exploring together.

A toolkit to explore and communicate what keeps you engaged in your work, this involves personal motivations, types of outputs that excite you and what practical needs and ways of working help you to engage fully.

A toolkit to help facilitate your group to have initial conversations exploring your motivations and expectations as well as how you want to work as an interdisciplinary and co-produced research team going forward.

A toolkit to aid you to introduce the world you inhabit to your collaborators and to be curious about each others.
