Support and funding
We are a support hub for world-class, interdisciplinary health research at the University of Bristol.
Funding
Elizabeth Blackwell and Jean Golding Institutes' AI in Health awards 2025
The Elizabeth Blackwell (EBI) and Jean Golding (JGI) Institutes together with the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences strategic research support fund are offering access to short-term pump priming funding for University of Bristol researchers pursuing innovative applications of AI in health or biomedical research.
This call is open to researchers of health-related topics from across disciplines at the University of Bristol and can include external partners. We will only accept applications from teams, not individual researchers: applications should be interdisciplinary and clearly represent collaboration between co-lead applicants from at least two different faculties.
Key dates:
- Funding call launch (including full details): Beginning July 2025
- Closing date for applications: midday 9 September 2025
- Funding decisions: by end of September 2025
- Projects end of spend date: 31 July 2026
University of Bristol staff can find out further information and apply on the AI in Health awards intranet page.
