The Wellcome Trust offers National Film & Televison School (NFTS) Studentship

Are you a PhD-level biomedical scientist wanting to try something new? The Wellcome Trust is offering studentships for National Film and Television School courses in Games Design & Development, Directing Fiction or Screenwriting.

The Wellcome Trust is offering  financial support for one PhD-level biomedical scientist to undertake a two-year MA at the NFTS in Games Design & DevelopmentDirecting Fiction or Screenwriting.

Applicants should be PhD-level biomedical scientists wishing to explore a career in the broadcast, games and film industries. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent, some experience of science communication, and a demonstrable aptitude for working with TV, radio, film or games.

The studentships will only be awarded to applicants who have a confirmed place on the NFTS course of interest. After the application deadline, a shortlist of candidates for interview will be drawn up, with interviews taking place in late July.
