Rosetrees Trust Interdisciplinary Award 2021 to stimulate collaborative research between Medicine and Engineering 

The Rosetrees Trust announced its Interdisciplinary Prize award 2021 to develop new collaborative studies between researchers in the fields of medicine and engineering including the field of healthcare technology. The aim of the award is to stimulate research collaborations resulting in breakthroughs that have real potential to improve human health.

The award is for £300,000 paid over 3 years and can be used to support any directly incurred costs such as salaries, consumables and other running costs. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applications should be truly interdisciplinary and clearly represent collaboration between medicine and engineering.
  • Applications can relate to any disease or medical condition which affects a significant proportion of the population.
  • The two lead applicants (medicine and engineering) must be named and the lead applicants should be tenured academics within the host institution. 

The deadline for full applications is midnight 30th April 2021

The winner will be announced in October 2021

Internal applications will be reviewed by the University of Bristol panel and you will be notified whether you are invited to submit a full proposal to the Rosetrees Trust.
